Data We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address. When you add competitors to track, we store the URLs and names you provide. We also store the scraped content of competitor pages (page snapshots), detected changes, and AI-generated analysis. We may collect basic usage data such as login timestamps.

We also fetch publicly available industry news from RSS feeds (e.g. TechCrunch, VentureBeat) to power the industry intelligence feed. This content is sourced from public RSS feeds and is not personal data.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the InduWatch service: monitoring competitor pages, detecting changes, running AI analysis, and sending you email briefings. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in our database (Supabase, hosted on AWS in the EU). Page snapshots are automatically deleted after 90 days. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate InduWatch:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (your email and app data)
  • Stripe — payment processing (card details are handled by Stripe; we never see them)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (your email address for sending briefings)
  • Anthropic — AI analysis of page changes (page content is sent to the API but not used to train models)
  • Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (no personal data collected or stored)

Cookies

InduWatch does not use tracking cookies. We use Plausible Analytics which is cookieless and GDPR-compliant by design. We use essential cookies only for authentication (managed by Supabase).

Lawful basis (GDPR)

We process your personal data on the basis of: (1) contract performance — to provide the InduWatch service you signed up for; (2) legitimate interest — to send you product updates and digest emails you opted into.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account from Settings, which permanently deletes all your data. To request a data export, contact us at the address below.
